Ohio University Adjunct Instructor of Law Enforcement Technology, Beginning Academic Year 2024-2025 (POOL Posting) in Athens, Ohio

Job Description:

Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking part-time instructors to teach in-person and online courses at the undergraduate level in law enforcement technology. The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and changing programmatic needs. When a need arises, the department will select qualified candidates from this pool. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach in the following areas: Introduction to Law Enforcement ( LET 1000), Ethics and Legal Issues ( LET 1050), Police Operations ( LET 1500), and Law Enforcement Administration ( LET 2450).

Positions will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term. There may be a future possibility for various delivery modes including in person/face-to-face, hybrid or via technology.

This is not a remote position.

This is a part-time position eligible for sick leave and retirement benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Earned Baccalaureate degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, public administration, or related field at the time of application.

3 years of supervisory experience in criminal justice or law enforcement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Earned Master’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, public administration, or related field.
