Ohio University Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics, Beginning Academic Year 2024-2025 (POOL Posting) in Athens, Ohio

Job Description:

Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking part-time instructors to teach in-person courses at the undergraduate level in mathematics. The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and changing programmatic needs. When a need arises, the department will select qualified candidates from this pool.

Preference will be given to applicants who can teach the following courses: Elementary Math Topics ( MATH 1101 or MATH 1102), College Algebra ( MATH 1200), and Pre-calculus ( MATH 1300).

Positions will include teaching from 4 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term. There may be future possibility for various delivery modes including in person/face-to-face, hybrid or via technology.

This is a part-time position eligible for sick leave and retirement benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s in Mathematics or closely related field is required at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Mathematics

Experience teaching undergraduate courses.
