Ohio University Adjunct Instructor of Political Science, Beginning Academic Year 2024-2025 (POOL POSTING) in Athens, Ohio

Job Description:

Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking part-time instructors to teach a variety of in-person courses at the undergraduate level for political science. The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and changing programmatic needs. When a need arises, the department will select qualified candidates from this pool.

Specific in-person need includes POLS 1010, Politics in the United States. This course examines the nature of American democracy citizen participation, principles of government, and political institutions within context of UC domestic politics.

Positions will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term. Future possibility for various delivery modes including in person/face-to-face, hybrid or via technology.

This is a part-time position eligible for sick leave and retirement benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Political Science or related field required by the start date of the appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Political Science preferred.

Previous teaching experience at the college/university level preferred.
