Ohio University Adjunct Instructor of Psychology, Beginning Academic Year 2024-2025 (POOL Posting) in Athens, Ohio

Job Description:

Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking part-time instructors to teach a variety of in-person courses at the undergraduate level in psychology. The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and changing programmatic needs. When a need arises, the department will select qualified candidates from this pool.

Preference will be given to applicants who can teach the following courses: General Psychology ( PSY 1010), Elementary Statistical Reasoning ( PSY 1110), Social Psychology ( PSY 2510), or Psychopathology ( PSY 2710).

Please include the campus or campuses of choice in the cover letter: Chillicothe, Eastern (St. Clairsville), Lancaster, Southern (Ironton), and Zanesville.

Positions will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term. There may be future possibility for various delivery modes including in person/face-to-face, hybrid or via technology.

This is a part-time position eligible for sick leave and retirement benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Psychology or related area required by start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching undergraduate courses preferred.
