Assists in month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes. WNYE has a proven record of promoting within! Duties may include but are not limited to: Preparation of spreadsheets to track and analyze monthly data, monthly journal entries and financial statements. Provide backup for billing and other accounting functions. Candidate should have a B.S. in Accounting(completed or in process) or related course study (CPA candidate a plus), intermediate knowledge in Excel, understanding of proper internal controls, ability to handle the company's sensitive information in a highly confidential manner, commitment to accuracy and attention to detail, a genuine curiosity and desire to learn about and be a part of the Western New York Energy team, effective and professional communication both internally and externally.
